Input Goals

Most people tend to set output goals like:

  • Get fit.
  • Publish a book.
  • Have 10,000 followers.

But these kinds of goals are ultimately outside of your control.

So, focus on input goals instead:

  • Work out five times a week.
  • Write for two hours a day.
  • Publish quality content daily.

In the words of novelist Robert Louis Stevenson:

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.

The better you take care of the inputs, the more likely you’ll be to get the outputs.

So, focus on what you do — not what you might get.
